Everybody can nominate an individual or an organisation for the “Human of the Year” Award. You can do so by filling in the Nomination Form below.

Nominees have to be Bulgarian citizens or organisations registered in Bulgaria. Individuals or organisations can be nominated for specific human rights acts/practices, carried out in the period 30 September 2008 – 15 November 2009.

Nominations will be accepted until 24 h on 15 November 2009. The jury will not consider any nominations received after that date.

Employees and permanent collaborators of the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee, as well as members of the jury, shall not be eligible for nomination for the award.

The human rights acts/practices ought to have an impact on Bulgarian citizens or groups of individuals, or on individuals living in Bulgaria.

Only nominations, which fulfill the above criteria, will be taken into consideration by the jury. Nominations fulfilling these criteria will be published on the site where the public can vote online for the Audience Award.
